About the Job:
The Area Sales Representative is responsible for growing the Koia business in the Miami/Florida region by visiting accounts in person with in-store support and relationship building activities. This role requires an understanding of the CPG landscape, a highly competitive personality, and the desire to work in the field. This role reports directly to the Director of Field and is accountable for growing and retaining Koia’s sales in the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with buyers at store level.
  • Visit Walmarts - merchandise stores
  • Managing existing accounts and gaining additional placements within stores, including secondary points of purchase and cooler placement.
  • Plan out and prioritize weekly strategies to optimize field time – roughly hitting 15-20 accounts daily, closing voids, increasing shelf presence, merchandising, and taking reorders from store managers.
  • Logging field data into Repsly.
  • The ability to influence retailers and distributors to bring in Koia.
  • Effective merchandising in-store with POS materials. Create Koia awareness at retailers.
  • Marketplace execution, maximizing distribution and securing high value retail space.
  • This is a FULL-TIME field position where you are expected to visit 15-20 accounts/day.
  • Must be able to drive long hours. A large portion of the job is visiting Walmarts.
  • Travel to other parts of Florida and outside the state up to two weeks a month.

Qualifications:
  • Live in the Miami area
  • Must be able to travel outside of the state up to 2 weeks a month (overnight travel).
  • Self-directed, competitive and goal-oriented – enjoy working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
  • A reliable car
  • Must be able to make it to your first store by 8am.
  • Ability to move fast and to manage numerous, deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Flexible to evolve as the business needs change

  • The base salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 + 25% bonus
