Role:
Based in Denver, CO, a newly created Sales & Marketing Analyst position is primarily responsible to develop and implement strategies to leverage syndicated retail data to help drive business growth. We’re looking for a candidate that is self-motivated, analytical, intellectually curious, with a passion for brand building. The role includes collaborating cross functionally and supporting other functional areas as needed in a small company environment. There is significant room for career growth for a high performer. You must be located in Denver and have previous experience working with a consumer CPG brand. If you are a data Swiss army knife with a consumer marketing mindset, we can’t wait to hear from you!

Responsibilities: 
  • Syndicated Data Management, Analysis, and Support
    • Manage and analyze syndicated retail data from platforms such as SPINS, Costco CRX, Kroger 8451, and Sam’s Club Madrid
    • Identify key trends, category insights, and opportunities to support sales and marketing strategy. 
    • Assist in preparing for category reviews, competitive analysis, and retail presentations. 
  • Marketing Analytics & Insights
    • Track, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using data-driven insights
    • Assist in the development of key marketing KPIs by channel and initiative, continuously optimizing for improved performance
  • Social Media & Marketing Support
    • Participate in social media agency calls, contribute creative ideas, and analyze performance metrics to optimize strategy and engagement
    • Utilize design tools like Photoshop and other creative software to develop brand assets, sales materials, and marketing collateral
  • Promotional & Trade Marketing Support
    • Track and input promotional activities through internal systems and platforms like DemandTec
    • Provide insights on promotional effectiveness and recommend optimizations based on performance data
  • Manage and maintain item setup and updates in platforms like Syndigo, 1WorldSync, and GS1Plan, coordinate, and execute industry trade shows and marketing events, evaluating their impact and return on investment
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure data-driven decision-making
  • To be effective in the role, must develop a deep understanding of the existing branded business including products, markets / customers, production, and supply chain, among other areas. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (Marketing, Analytics, Finance) or related field required. 
  • 1-2 years related work experience, CPG industry required. 
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, synthesis, and storytelling skills (high level of expertise with MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with syndicated data a plus, but not required
  • Ability and desire to leverage data to identify key insights to drive business initiatives. 
  • Desire and ability to work in a small company entrepreneurial environment.

Other:
Base compensation is estimated at $70-$85K per year based on experience. This role will be included in the company’s annual bonus plan that is primarily based on financial performance relative to targets.

This role is on-site at our company headquarters in Denver, CO. Estimated travel is approximately 10-20% of the time.
