The General Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the company’s accounting information and financial statements. This role plays a key part in driving financial performance by providing critical financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The General Accountant will also partner with plant management to support business decisions, optimize operations, and ensure compliance with policies / procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
- Support fixed asset accounting and reporting.
- Support overhead and payroll accounting and reporting.
- Support indirect tax accounting and reporting.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Preparation of annual budgets and LE forecasts in collaboration with department heads and plant management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term financial planning and capital investment decisions.
- Track and report on capital expenditure projects.
Operational & Strategic Support
- Partner with plant management to provide financial insights that support decision-making and operational improvements.
- Evaluate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial and operational performance.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls related to financial operations.
Qualifications:
Education
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, required
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies
- JD Edwards experience, preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary $65,000 – $90,000. This annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range for this position.
