Job Description

The Manager Warehouse Shift Operations is responsible for managing the Warehouse Department in all facets of shipping, receiving, storage, and reconciliation of full goods and materials necessary to support the sales center.

What your day will look like:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving and Night Loading
  • Maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the units listed above
  • Direct and manage the daily operation of manual picking or automated system
  • Analyzes key performance indicators and develops new ones for the manufacturing and distribution operations to improve efficiencies
  • Train employees on OSHA, environmental monthly trainings and ensure regulations are being met
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Frequent standing and walking and typing
  • Ability to work safely and securely
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, management of people, business acumen, planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
