Carabuena Tequila is looking to hire an experienced Market Manager to serve the greater Austin area and the surrounding market. This person should have intimate knowledge of the Spirits/Beverage Industry. The position includes direct sales responsibility for key on-premise (such as but not limited to: bars and restaurants) and off-premise (chain and independent liquor stores) accounts, securing new business in new and existing accounts, working closely with the distributor partner, and hitting all forecasted goals in the assigned territory.

- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned, existing, and new customers, understanding their key needs and requirements
- Sales and Distribution: Achieve volume objectives, plan and implement programs to deliver distribution, merchandising, display, and retail promotional objectives
- Brand Building: Utilize consumer and category trends to educate customers, solve problems with actionable solutions, and maximize sales. Support brand building, programming, and distribution activities with customers
- Distributor Management: Lead distributors in-store selling, merchandising, marketing, and execution for accounts. Serve as the communication lead between key customers, wholesalers, and internal teams
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) with key customers, develop solutions to grow assigned accounts, and drive market share growth
- Budget Management: Manage territory budgets to support market initiatives, track sales depletions, display activation, and account programming
- Creative Execution: Introduce and implement innovative sales execution concepts, share best practices across the team, and manage POS to ensure merchandising objectives are met
- Reporting and Tracking: Track market progress with weekly recaps, KPI reporting and provide regular updates through internal tracking systems

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales professional experience, in the spirits industry
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to travel and work remotely as required
- High-level distributor management experience is a must
- Must reside in or near the assigned territory
- Ability to pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed
Preferred:
- Market development and sales analysis experience
- Strong ability to self-manage and manage schedules to achieve results
- Experience building customer relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
