Cantrip, Inc. is a hemp beverage manufacturing company. In partnership with manufacturing facilities, Cantrip produces flavorful, low-dose seltzers and other beverages for sale in the hemp cannabis markets. We are the social seltzer, creating great-tasting cannabis beverage products for people to enjoy together. Cantrip is a fast-paced, growing start-up in the hemp and cannabis space.

The Merchandising Specialist will serve as the vanguard in Cantrip’s retail locations. With a particular focus on chain accounts first, the Merchandising Specialist will visit Cantrip partner retailers and ensure shelves are stocked, planograms are followed, and the stores have what they need to succeed. The successful candidate will be versed in building relationships with our retail partners and increase Cantrip’s presence in store through stocking and merchandising assets, increasing the number of locations we are found in stores, and optimizing placement of Cantrip’s products on shelves.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Regularly visit Cantrip retail accounts and ensure shelves are stocked, faced, and orderly

• Aid retailers in restocking Cantrip product on shelves

• Work with Cantrip retail partners to improve Cantrip’s shelf positioning and implement Cantrip planograms

• Work with Cantrip retail partners to set optimized product displays including obtaining cooler positioning and multiple in-store locations

• Collect and aggregate pricing data for Cantrip and relevant competitors into a database

• Build relationships with employees and managers of Cantrip partner retailers

• Conduct tastings regularly for Cantrip retail partners

• Deliver and set up in-store displays, discuss best practices, and maintain brand integrity of all in-store assets

• Collaborate with the marketing team to inspire and innovate new display options by gathering feedback from customers and retailers

• Assess the effectiveness of different product displays and store layouts

• Get to know the customer base and understand their motivation and sales drivers

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 1-3 years experience in a related role

• Team player accustomed to wearing many hats

• Previous experience in beverage or CPG marketing preferred

• Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Familiarity and aptitude with email, Microsoft Office, and printing software.

• Detailed oriented and extremely organized.

• A passion for products

• Strong communicator who can provide exceptional customer service and react quickly to identify and solve problems.

• Must be able to pass a background check;

• Must be 21+.
