About SIMULATE, makers of NUGGS
SIMULATE was founded in 2018 by then 19-year old Ben Pasternak who dropped out of high school and moved to NYC. Named by TIME as their Most Influential Teen after a string of successful tech exits, Ben turned his energy toward the antiquated practices of animal factory farming, believing there could be a better way. NUGGS was born as the first product under SIMULATE, which is a chicken nugget simulation. The company plans to actively develop and market other meat, poultry, and fish simulations.
Since our launch in the Summer of 2019, NUGGS has evolved into one of the fastest growing clean meat companies, raising close to $10M to continue to expedite the normalization and adoption of clean meat. SIMULATE investors include some of the biggest names in food, tech, and entertainment. Backers include McCain Foods (the world’s largest manufacturer of frozen food products), Casper co-founder Neil Parikh, iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman, WFM former CEO Walter Robb, unannounced A-list celebrities, and institutional backing from Rainfall Ventures, Lerer Hippeau and M Ventures.
