About Barrell Craft Spirits
Barrell Craft Spirits, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is an independent blender and bottler of unique aged, cask-strength sourced whiskey and rum, that is increasingly being recognized for its blending expertise. We conceive of, design, launch, and talk about Spirits with a focus on what people want now and not what has been successful in the past. This affords us access to some of the most interesting and delicious spirits in the world.?Our goal is to select and blend products that explore different distillation methods, barrels and aging environments, and bottle them at cask strength. Every batch is produced as a limited release and has an intentionally distinct flavor profile.?Barrell Craft Spirits has been highly rated by Whisky Advocate and was named Best American Whiskey of 2018 in Forbes by whiskey authority Fred Minnick. At the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, we won Best Small Batch Bourbon over 11 years old as well as two Double Gold and two Gold medals. In previous years, we captured seven Double Gold and five Gold medals as well as the 2017 Best Bourbon, Best Small Batch Bourbon and Best Over Proof Rum. Our award-winning line of products is currently sold in 43 states throughout the United States.?
Who We Are
At Barrell Craft Spirits, we have an unrelenting drive to break the status quo by selecting and blending products that explore different distillation methods, barrels, and aging environments. All blends are not created equal – knowledge and experience matters. We don’t simply follow a recipe or blend by consensus. Rather, we blend based on years of expertise and experimentation. We personally taste and blend hundreds of products each year and have experimented with thousands of unique blends over the past 10 years. We are passionate perfectionists fueled by curiosity.
As industry trailblazers, we’re passionate about continually pushing the boundaries of blending and exploring opportunities to source and blend outside the box. Our goal is to elevate barrels of whisky into something greater than the sum of their parts and to showcase the world’s most exciting spirits. In the process, we’re flattered to have inspired many others to begin blending with whiskey.
Our award-winning line of products is currently sold in 49 U.S. states as well as in Puerto Rico, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
