About B.R. Distilling Company
B.R. Distilling Company is the oldest licensed distillery in Memphis, TN, and producer of the award-winning Blue Note Bourbon, a bold yet approachable whisky with big notes and a smooth structure. Blue Note Juke Joint and Blue Note Crossroads were recognized at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, winning Double Gold medals for the second year in a row in the oldest and largest competition of its kind. Additionally, Blue Note Uncut placed #7 on Whisky Advocate’s Top Whiskies of 2022.

World-class whiskey from the heart of Memphis, TN.
At B.R. Distilling Co., we focus solely on crafting, aging, bottling, and distributing the finest whiskey possible. Our products can be found in fine liquor stores, restaurants, and bars across 17 states. Held by the current owners of B.R. Distilling Co. since 2018, DSP TN 21021 was licensed in 2014, making it the oldest distillery license in the city of Memphis, operating out of ~110k sq/ft of production and storage space in Memphis.

Whiskey lovers know how critical temperature variations are in aging whiskey. Located just north of downtown Memphis, B.R. Distilling Co. is outside of the "heat island effect" many urban areas experience. Our warehouses sit just east of the Mississippi River and south of the Wolf River in our own micro-climate, with high humidity and higher average temperatures than Kentucky. It all adds up to the perfect place to age our whiskeys.

B.R. Distilling Co. has shipped barrels to more than 125 distilled spirits plants as well as bottled for celebrity and influencer-backed brands. We’ve also worked with some of the largest liquor brokers and publicly held spirits companies in the world.
