Responding to consumer demand for a delicious, lower-ABV, and lower-sugar product, UME has garnered an overwhelming positive response since its launch in Summer 2021. It has quickly become a crowd favorite, delighting consumers and bartenders alike.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the Senior Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind UME’s cultural presence. Your mission includes building the UME Influencer Program from the ground up, managing local events and partnerships to drive product sampling and trial, and overseeing email and SMS marketing campaigns. You’ll also be responsible for content production and community growth.

If you have a keen understanding of consumer trends, experience in the alcoholic beverage industry or consumer packaged goods, and a passion for crafting innovative, trendsetting brands, this is your chance to make a real impact. You will report directly to the Fractional CMO and UME’s Founder.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Marketing Calendar
- Paid Social & Performance Marketing: Manage and collaborate closely with the paid social and performance marketing agency to develop and execute high-impact, data-driven campaigns. Regularly monitor campaign performance across key platforms, ensuring that media spend is optimized, and KPIs are met or exceeded. Work with the agency to refine targeting strategies, creative testing, and reporting to align with UME’s growth objectives.
- Website Management: Oversee ongoing updates, optimizations, and improvements to UME’s website, ensuring it aligns with brand strategy and provides an engaging user experience. Work with development teams to implement SEO best practices, update content, improve site performance, and increase conversion rates.
- Email Marketing: Develop and optimize email campaigns that engage and convert. Analyze performance metrics to refine strategies.
- SMS Marketing: Design and manage SMS marketing campaigns to engage customers with promotions, updates, and exclusive offers. Track and optimize campaigns to maximize impact.
- Social Media Strategy: Lead social media initiatives across platforms like Instagram and TikTok, focusing on building brand awareness, engagement, and community growth. Develop content calendars, leverage metrics to drive strategy adjustments, and produce video and visual content in-house or in collaboration with external creators.
Creative & Content Development
- Content Creation & Marketing Material Management: Assist in content creation and oversee the production, organization, and distribution of UME’s marketing materials, including apparel, Point of Sale items, and promotional swag.
- Content & Video Production: Produce & oversee photo & video shoots for UME. Create content in house where feasible to create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, and other channels.
Influencer & Community Engagement:
- Influencer Program: Build and lead UME’s Influencer program from the ground up, creating user-generated content campaigns that foster authentic brand advocacy. Track influencer performance and ensure alignment with UME’s objectives.

Brand Collaborations: Forge on-trend brand partnerships that are PRable, help grow UMEs awareness, and reach new audiences.
Field Marketing
- Local Events & Partnerships: Develop and manage local events and brand partnerships that drive product sampling and trial.

Trade Marketing Support: Support with executing sales/ commercial programs at the local level. On/ Off Premise activation, account partnerships, trade events, production of commercial tools, etc.
Performance Management & Reporting:
- Budget. Reconcile and forecast marketing budgets, ensuring that all spending aligns with strategic priorities.
- KPI Tracking. Measure and report on marketing activities via KPI dashboard.
- Asset Management. Maintain and update the brand’s digital asset library for easy access.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in marketing with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and social media. Experience managing performance marketing campaigns and working with external agencies is essential. Background in fast-growing brands or startups is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the beverage, hospitality, CPG, or luxury sectors is a plus, with an understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
- Skills: Proficiency in platforms such as Klaviyo or other email/SMS marketing tools, and expertise in social media tools (Instagram, TikTok, CapCut, etc.). Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making, particularly in paid social and performance marketing. Experience with website management and optimization, including SEO and UX best practices. Video and content production experience is required.
- Creativity: A creative, forward-thinking marketer who thrives on developing engaging campaigns and strategies that connect with UME’s vibrant audience.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present and collaborate with key stakeholders.

Leadership: Experience managing internal and external teams (agencies, contractors), with the ability to drive results through collaboration and leadership.

Compensation:
Salary range: $100,000-$120,000. Benefits include health and dental insurance, 25 days PTO, and exclusive perks like product discounts and access to UME events.
