Job Description
The Senior Manager, Supplier Diversity will support the management and execution of Suntory Global Spirits Supplier Diversity Program. This highly visible role will work directly cross functionally with key decision makers, Sourcing, Suppliers, and partners to increase economic opportunities for diverse business through Suntory Global Spirits' business and brands.
Role Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
• Assist in the implementation, and ongoing maintenance of SGS's Supplier Diversity Strategy
• Interface and collaborate with business decision makers and Procurement as a true advisor to assess and evaluate spend opportunities driving SGS' Supplier Diversity roadmap and vision
• Support the development and execution of Supplier Diversity communications and stakeholder engagement plans to support priorities and deliverables
• Lead and host training initiatives to educate stakeholders on spend reporting systems, tools and platforms
• Conduct research, including external benchmarking, industry groups, and customer insight to identify best practices
• Works closely with the Director to support internal and external supplier diversity events
• Participate in matchmaking events, trade fairs, and conferences to understand the products and services of diverse businesses and support events designed to increase our network of diverse suppliers
• Maintain relationships with diverse supplier organizations, industry associations, advocacy groups, and NGOs to expand the supplier base and promote supplier diversity initiatives
• Mentor and develop small and diverse suppliers preparing to do business with SGS
• Serve on internal and external Supplier Diversity Boards and Committees
• This role is responsible for day-to-day program activities, including maintaining supplier diversity content on internal and external websites
Category Management Collaboration
• Collaborate with category managers to embed supplier diversity actions and goals into category spend strategies to drive inclusive supplier selection and spend management decisions.
• Develop an understanding of current and future spend needs to proactively identify opportunities to include diverse suppliers in open RF(X)
• Verify and maintain the W/MBE supplier's diversity status certification and assist supplier in acquiring such certification.
• Manage diverse supplier registration process and serve as a liaison between diverse suppliers and category managers.
• Manage 2nd tier program including, training and communications, and collaborate with category managers to ensure compliance, tracking and reporting of 2nd tier spend.
• Identify key strategic suppliers with whom to establish strategic alliances beyond their existing contractual agreements to report on their supplier diversity activities and serve as point person for those identified suppliers.
Program Analytics & Reporting
• Ensure Category and Supplier Scorecards include Supplier Diversity KPIs to measure and track usage and progress toward supplier diversity program goals
• Manage the data enrichment process and diverse supplier certifications through various third-party hosted providers
• Define data scope and requirements, defining dashboard requirements, ensuring proper spend classification, performing quality assurance of deliverables provided by the Sourcing analytics and reporting team, packaging data reports into high-quality presentation materials, presenting data to stakeholders, and providing actionable insights on data. (At category and business level)
• Serve as the functional owner and accountable party for all supplier diversity data reporting, which includes reporting to both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (i.e., regulatory compliance reporting and advocacy group reporting).
Qualifications
Experience
• Prior Supplier Diversity program management experience within a global and matrixed organization is strongly preferred
• Must be meticulous with excellent prioritization, project management and analytical skills required
• Experience navigating complex ERP systems, Excel spreadsheets, and various reporting tools preferred
• Previous work experience in spend tracking and reporting is required, with experience in diverse supplier spend reporting, strongly preferred
• Ability to analyze & visualize data and compile actionable reports required
• Experience working with PowerBI, Tableau, SupplierIO, and supplier diversity databases preferred
• Superior interpersonal and communication (including public speaking and presentations) skills strongly preferred
• Strong relationship management skills with a high level of emotional intelligence required
• The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with an ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
• Ability to adapt, pivot and learn quickly to support the success of SGS' Supplier Diversity ambitions required
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or applicable work experience required
• Minimum 5 years of Supplier Diversity experience, including certification processes and supplier development programming very strongly preferred
• Deep expertise and experience with supplier relationship management required
• Understanding of procurement, sourcing, contract management preferred

• This position requires frequent travel to supplier diversity events and conferences; Candidate must be able to travel as needed, required
