Overview

The Solution Analyst is responsible for ensuring technology solutions address business requirements and achieve the identified business outcomes. This role will assist subject matter experts with gap analysis / process definition and system enhancements and will provide a high level of service for break-fix incidents and requests. This role is different than a developer in that it does not "code"; the focus is to "build" a technical solution by taking business requirements and configuring the systems to support the business requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gather and document requirements and translate high-level business requirements into business and/or technical requirements documents (BRD) or user stories including functional specifications. Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to solve for their needs
  • Create and maintain business processes, requirements, functional and technical specification documentation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and process maps.
  • Support the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials.
  • Support the creation of test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all test types
  • Perform testing duties as needed, working with end users and project teams during the design, construction, testing and implementation of modifications to systems
  • Support the definition of project or product requirements by identifying milestones, phases, elements and open items to solve.
  • Assist with monitoring project and/or product issue resolution progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions as directed
  • Support initiatives required to improve efficiencies across ways of working, processes and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to systems, processes, and business operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze and report on project and/or product performance as requested.


Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Cross-departmental and 3rd party collaboration as required
  • Ensures consistency across platform documentation
  • Support departmental needs as necessary (ex: gain tech approvals for systems contracts)


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area such as Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Analysis, Data Management, Business Intelligence
  • Strong business and systems acumen
  • Experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across multiple stakeholder types.
  • Familiarity with business processes and the ability to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support them
  • Experience supporting Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) process
  • Ability to demonstrate Agile delivery values of openness, commitment, respect, courage, and focus
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies.
  • Experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to translate recommendations into a non-technical presentation that business stakeholders can understand
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Relevant professional experience in a business or IT environment.
  • 2 years' experience writing technical user stories for Adobe Experience Manager or ServiceNow systems within Jira or similar system.
  • Experience with specific technologies or platforms relevant to the role

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
