Position Summary :

The Bottling Team Lead is responsible for providing work leadership and guidance to Bottling Technicians whilst under general guidance.

Efficiently operates Mumm Napa tirage and disgorge bottling equipment using a wide variety of technical, mechanical and manual skills, monitoring and ensuring the product quality in adherence to standards and specifications. Troubleshoots problems when required to maximize process efficiency and meet production plans. Assits with the inventory control and traceability for all Mumm Napa packaging materials, operating supplies, and finished goods inventories including recording of material movements, data entry, and physical inventory activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Bottling Technicians while under general supervision
  • Assist Bottling Supervisor with training of new/less experienced employees
  • Work on all stations on the tirage and disgorging bottling lines
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace that conforms to accepted safety and good manufacturing processes. Achieve this through the 5S process and winery visualization; notify supervisor of needed maintenance
  • Responsible for safely operating all winery equipment, adherence to PPE policies, identification of risks and hazards, and recommendations for improvements to reduce and/or eliminate any unsafe conditions

  • Display and promote the Pernod Ricard values of conviviality and straightforwardness, entrepreneurship, integrity and commitment
  • Follow environmental regulations and requirements
  • Meet KPI measures including but not limited to:
  • Disgorging efficiency, actual rate versus standard and goal rates;
  • Total bottling productivity;
  • Start-up Efficiency;
  • Accident Statistics;
  • 100% compliance with regulations and zero violations and fines


  • Oversee and assist with areas requiring advanced knowledge or skill, i.e. neck freezer, monoblcok, cork & wire, capsule, & QC, labeling, inspection
  • Monitor, measure, and track data related to the performance of bottling equipment (i.e downtime, quality failures, etc.)

  • Maintains mechanical bottling equipment including change-overs, troubleshooting, and light repairs

  • Trouble shoots all quality and inventory related issues; completes problem solving and investigations as assigned

  • Assists with the data entry and reporting of bottling related movements/transactions into bottling databases and PRW USA's ERP system as required

  • Responsible for all sustainability matters in assigned work area, completes regularly scheduled inspections/audits, and notifies supervisor of any required attention

  • Move product and supplies by forklift as needed

  • Skills / Qualifications / Experience :

    Essential:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to repeatedly lift a case of wine (40-50 lbs)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time at the various bottling stations
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, finger and operate machinery
  • Ability to work in a cold and noisy environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Able to maintain composure in fast moving environment
  • Spoken and written English
  • Forklift experience

  • Desirable:

  • Production line experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in ERP software systems, and Microsoft Office

  • Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
