Overview: 
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Innovation at Patagonia Provisions, the Digital Lead will be responsible for managing all ecommerce revenue streams for Patagonia Provisions products across multiple channels, including Patagonia.com, PatagoniaProvisions.com, Amazon, and other digital platforms. The Digital Lead will guide the strategic vision and roadmap for Provisions products on Patagonia.com to drive key results company-wide. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in scaling ecommerce businesses for growth-stage CPG companies and in managing high-performing .com and Amazon operations. This role will also oversee a significant website integration project and lead cross-functionally on digital and performance marketing.  
 
Patagonia Provisions makes delicious, carefully sourced products best enjoyed from trailheads to campsites and beyond. We work to address specific environmental problems through organic, regenerative and responsible food production. Our food system is broken; Patagonia Provisions is about finding solutions to repair it. We are in business to save our home planet, and the Digital Lead will focus on scaling these solutions through digital channels. The role will require strong leadership, ecommerce strategy, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Revenue Management: Own, plan for, and scale ecommerce revenue across all online platforms, including Patagonia.com, PatagoniaProvisions.com, and Amazon. This includes leading the long range financial plan, annual budget, and monthly rolling forecast processes for all digital channels. 
  • .com and Amazon Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution for Patagonia Provisions on both owned websites and Amazon, ensuring best-in-class performance and a focus on profitability on both channels. Develop a culture of continuous improvement.  
  • Website Integration: Deliver the integration of PatagoniaProvisions.com into Patagonia's broader website infrastructure, collaborating closely with Digital Technology, Digital Operations and Digital Media and Category Marketing teams. Create buy in for Provisions product vision both internally and with key external partners. 
  • Build Brand Love: Tell the story of how Patagonia Provisions plays a critical role in Patagonia’s mission to save our home planet, and how it aligns with our apparel business, both externally and internally. Drive flawless product launches and campaigns, working closely with Provisions Brand and PR, as well as Patagonia Digital and Category Marketers.  
  • Customer Insights: Serve as the voice of our digital customer, identifying and surfacing consumer, product, and channel specific insights, as well as strategic recommendations, to the rest of Patagonia Provisions. Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships. 
  • Site Merchandising & Optimization: Oversee the merchandising, product marketing, and optimization of Patagonia Provisions' ecommerce sites, ensuring product listings, content, and user experiences are continuously improved for conversion and revenue growth. 
  • Omnichannel Support: Manage our digital presence with retail partners to ensure Patagonia Provisions' brand and products are consistently represented, driving alignment between ecommerce and retail channels. 
  • Performance Marketing: Collaborate with the Patagonia Digital Media Marketing and Ecommerce Performance teams to drive performance marketing campaigns that support revenue growth across all ecommerce platforms. 
  • Team Leadership: Directly manage a small team dedicated to Patagonia Provisions ecommerce growth. Providing direction, coaching, and mentorship that allow for integrated marketing and cross-functional collaboration with Patagonia’s broader Digital Marketing and Ecommerce teams.

Experience You Bring: 
  • 5-10 years of experience scaling ecommerce businesses for CPG brands, especially at the growth stage ($20M+ in revenue).  Including 3+ years as a manager.   
  • Track record of success leading a small team of direct reports and cross-functional partners to make big impacts, often with limited and constrained resources.   
  • Direct experience managing successful .com and Amazon businesses, including deep knowledge of platform best practices and performance optimization. 
  • High level of comfort with building annual and long-range financial plans, inclusive of revenue and SG&A.  
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional partners. 
  • Experience leading significant digital integration projects. 
  • Strong familiarity with omnichannel KPIs, best practices, and retail ecosystems. 
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations. 
  • Knowledge of Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Google Analytics, and performance marketing platforms. 
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to remain flexible to change within the work environment. 
 
Hiring Range: $140,000 to $155,000 
Pay Range: $106,800 to $160,200 
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
