This position is responsible for planning and directing enterprise-wide capital engineering projects and providing technical process oversight within designated area of expertise. This position is identified as a subject matter expert and is responsible for providing guidance to internal and external partners and teams.

Ideal candidate would reside within striking distance of one of our breweries.

Essential Duties:
  • Provides direction and insight for complex workstreams; identifies complications and concerns within the workstream and communicates potential risks
  • Provides technical direction by evaluating and guiding strategy and development across projects
  • Manages workflow processes; ensures quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of projects
  • Identifies and resolves equipment, production, package, facility or process issues in conjunction with production teams; primary consultant in the purchase of new equipment and/or re-engineering of existing facility or equipment
  • Provides innovative recommendations to senior leadership
  • Confers with management, production, and leadership staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
  • Provides development and leadership for team to include recruitment, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and mentoring
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills:
  • Relevant technical degree and 15+ years of experience in the field or equivalent skillset with required experience specific to brewing, FMB, or Spirit industry.
  • Prior experience driving largescale capital engineering projects within facilities of varying sizes and volume; required
  • Required subject matter expertise and ability to transfer knowledge to team
  • Proven experience leading and resolving troubled large, scaled engineering projects
  • Ability to assess competencies within internal and external team members
  • Demonstrated project management/financial management expertise to include successfully managing projects, contractors, internal and external teams, budgets, scope, and timeline
  • Expert computer skills including engineering applications and project management software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
  • Ability to develop experimentation and test methods and protocol to prove engineering concepts
  • Proven ability to understand and design mechanical systems with a strong working knowledge of process and electrical engineering.

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
