Based in Houston, the Production Planning & Logistics Specialist will ensure SirDavis consistently exceeds both short-term and long-term demand forecasts. This role will be the key orchestrator of all whisky, cask, and dry goods deliveries, meticulously aligning them with bottling requirements.

This role will develop bottling and demand schedules based on monthly SAP APO forecasts while working with internal and external partners to meet customer demand in the USA and globally.Job responsibilities

Demand, Supply & Material Planning:
  • Develop and implement best practice SOPs for inventory management, planning, and master data.
  • Manage production planning and finite scheduling, optimizing capacity, inventory, and financial objectives.
  • Develop a whisky demand model using growth forecasts and recipe tools.
  • Design and implement production strategies to meet demand and maintain inventory levels.
  • Create, implement, and monitor supply chain KPIs.
  • Ensure effective communication and data accuracy with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timeliness of information and data accuracy to avoid supply chain disruptions.

Logistics & Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including adjustments, reconciliation, cycle counting, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to track key inventory metrics.
  • Ensures compliance to guidelines for requisitions, purchase orders and inventories.
  • Assess and optimize material handling equipment and staffing needs to load, unload, move, or store equipment and company vehicles.
  • Partner with Operations to analyze inventory to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.
  • Manage relationships with shipping partners to ensure timely and secure global product delivery.

Financial Management:
  • Develop KPI's for whisky, finished goods and dry goods stock accuracy & value.
  • Compile reports & work closely with Finance to allow them to post for monthly and annual TTB reports
  • Develop, report and publish KPI's on stock accuracy
Profile

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial supply chain role.
  • Strong understanding of whisky production, incoming and outgoing logistics processes.
  • Experience with capital planning, project management, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in SAP or a similar integrated ERP system.
