Overview: The Marketing Manager will serve as a key project manager, responsible for driving the execution of Mezcalum's marketing strategy. This role blends grassroots marketing, influencer partnerships, social media management, and field marketing logistics to enhance brand visibility and engagement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mezcal, have a strong understanding of consumer trends, and possess experience in the alcoholic beverage industry.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Influencer and Partnership Management: Identify and cultivate partnerships with influencers to broaden Mezcalum's audience by managing influencer relationships, logistics, and engagements.

  • Social Media Tracking: Monitor and report on social media engagement and growth, ensuring alignment with KPIs. Share key social and digital trends with the team.

  • Marketing Material Management: Oversee the production, organization, and distribution of Mezcalum's marketing materials, including apparel, Point of Sale items, and promotional swag.

  • Agency and Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strategic relationships with agencies and vendors to enhance the brand's outreach.

  • Brand Strategy Support: Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Mezcalum’s brand strategy, translating it into actionable marketing plans, positioning, and go-to-market tactics.

  • Performance Reporting: Measure and report on the success of all marketing activities, using data-driven metrics such as ROI and KPIs to guide future strategies.

  • Event and Campaign Support: Coordinate and support marketing product shipments, manage project timelines with external collaborators, and provide on-the-ground support during major campaigns and activations.

  • Asset Management: Maintain and update the brand’s digital asset library, ensuring easy access to marketing materials for the sales and marketing teams.

  • Advertising and Promotion: Plan and oversee advertising initiatives, while evaluating new opportunities for channel development and market expansion.

  • Budget Management: Monitor the marketing budget, ensuring that all spending aligns with strategic priorities.

  • Special Projects and Trade Shows: Assist in special projects and support the team during trade shows and key events.

Job Requirements:
  • Location: Must be based in NYC
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the alcoholic beverage industry and in social media management for a brand.
  • Marketing Expertise: A solid understanding of the marketing mix and the ability to develop engaging campaigns that educate and excite consumers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce witty, creative copy and engaging content.
  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven, with a strong ability to analyze metrics and manage spreadsheets.
  • Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing marketing budgets.
