As the IT Manufacturing Operations Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server, software, and network resources that support an organization's IT environment utilizing best practice in line with industry standards. As the IT Manufacturing Operations Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server, software, and network resources that support an organization's IT environment utilizing best practice in line with industry standards. You will provide daily IT operational support to ensure business continuity and success identifying areas of improvement.
What you'll do:
- Improve network architecture to support Operation Technology expansion and growth.
- Establish naming conventions for network, WiFi, servers, etc.
- Collaborate in the definition of infrastructure standards.
- Design Backup and Disaster Recovery plan for all manufacturing locations.
- Support manufacturing operation providing high availability infrastructure.
- Provide hands on desktop support to plant users.
- Perform proper firmware/software update on equipment in accordance with company and vendor requirement.
What you have:
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of storage, servers and Hypervisor (VMWare preferred).
- Knowledge of routing firewalls, routers, OOB and switching.
- Technical certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, AWS are encouraged.
- Automation & scripting skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Incident and Problem management, ITSM. Automation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong troubleshooting.
- Work under minor supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
