Role Purpose:

Mark Anthony Brewing Inc. is hiring a Facilities Technician in our brand new, large-scale, state-of-the-art brewing facility in Columbia, SC. Responsible for the daily completion of tasks integral to maintaining the excellent condition of the facility and grounds. This role performs highly diversified duties, to include general facility upkeep and repairs, general knowledge electrical work, general knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, equipment, and plant cleaning, inside and outside work, assembly, and assistance with equipment PMs as necessary.

Core Duties:
  • Comply with all established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of work; including, but not limited to: LOTO, hot work permits, confined space entry, arc flash safety, etc.
  • Identify and communicate unsafe work practices or procedures
  • Maintain the building and other assigned areas, inside and out, in a high state of condition and appearance.
  • Perform general upkeep and repairs to lighting, walls, floors, plumbing, low voltage 120v or less, filtration, and mechanical systems as required.
  • May have to work with contractors as required.
  • Able to operate scissor and boom lifts
  • Flexibility to work overtime, nights and or weekends.
  • Ability to changes compressed gas cylinders.
  • Knowledge on how to make repairs to dry wall and concrete.
  • Ability to replace ceiling, carpet tiles ceramic tiles.
  • Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders
  • Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties
  • Ensure quality, and sanitation standards are always met
  • Comply with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Perform general maintenance to HVAC equipment such as replacing filters.
  • Performing other various job duties as required.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • High School degree or equivalent required. Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 21 years or older required
  • 3 or more years of warehouse/factory facilities maintenance; general plant electrical, mechanical, and plumbing required
  • LOTO experience

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Fast paced and constantly changing work environment
  • Overtime including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand/move up to 8-12 hours per day.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes and safety glasses.
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to continuously stand, bend, and twist.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to get in/out of company vehicle.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a "can-do" and positive attitude
  • Can apply high-level quality standards
  • Work well under pressure while staying true to the company values
