The Global Brand Manager, reporting directly to the Global CMO, is responsible for the strategic leadership and sustained health (consumer & commercial) of our uniquely diverse house of brands across the globe. Defining brands around consumer insight, directing product & portfolio development and the creation & distribution of programming (digital, retail & experiential) that engages both consumers & trade alike are all central to the role. Localization of those propositions is key to our success and you will work closely with core market commercial teams, key distributor & retail partners around the world to ensure those efforts are optimized & on brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Global Brands – provide strategic brand direction to markets via maintenance of clear, compelling & differentiated brand propositions including brand definitions, consumer profiles, comprehensive brand books & core brand asset library. 
  • Champion Consumer Intimacy – develop a deep understanding of core consumers (in core markets) including generation of primary insights as the basis for optimising relevance & equity driving brand initiatives (experience with Quantilope or similar platform ideal)
  • Craft Global Integrated Communication Frameworks – lead the development of brand specific big ideas, related TTL campaigns & programs for market localization & activation via comprehensive brand toolkits
  • Guide Market Planning via Global Brand Plans – establish clear annual brand & business goals and provide a roadmap to success including brand & commercial strategies, product development, key initiatives & programs for integration & localisation by core markets
  • Support Localised Execution – work collaboratively with local markets, providing support and guidance in the development of localised brand / market plans and executing Joint Business Plans (JBP) with their local distribution partners.
  • Drive Digital Transformation - fuel ISL's drive to digital leadership via optimised digital brand presence, community acquisition, engagement & 
  • Equity Growth - positive impact on brand health metrics & key brand attributes (as measured by brand health tracker) in core markets
  • Agency Leadership - creative, digital & communications (as required) agency leadership optimising efficiency of spend & effectiveness of outputs via well constructed SOW's & proactive performance management
  • A&P Fiscal Control - control over A&P budgets including central, local marketing + local sales $'s including phased spend plans & ongoing tracking 
For all intents & purposes, this role is the ‘guardian’ of these branded businesses, the partner & guide for our markets, working hand in glove with sales to drive performance in the short term while maintaining custody of the long term growth of brand equity & valuation.

Requirements:
  • Either Bachelor's degree in Marketing OR relevant working experience 
  • 7+ years of experience in trade marketing, sales, brand marketing or related field
  • Ability to work cross-culturally to optimize local / cultural relevance of global ideas
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer insight generation as the basis for data based decisions
  • Strong understanding of shopper behavior as the basis for retail & channel marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing programs
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
