Honey Stinger, located in the beautiful mountain town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, seeks to find a highly analytical and experienced Supply & Inventory Planner to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will be based in Steamboat Springs or Denver/Front Range area. This role will report to the Senior Planning Manager and is responsible for all activities related to buying strategy, forecast analysis, capacity planning, raw materials management, inventory optimization, and reporting to ensure production, cash flow, supply, and inventory continuity.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement supply planning strategy to support the needs of a rapidly changing business.
  • Analyze inventory and demand data to develop accurate plans for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Maintain supply planning tools to facilitate analysis and decision making across all product categories.
  • Communicate with external partners regarding production and forecasting needs and updates to ensure timely deliveries and avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Regularly communicate with internal partners regarding supply plan, including monthly forecast and open-to-buy review.
  • Establish capacity planning models with vendors across the supply chain.
  • Align open-to-buy dollars, ensuring all buying activities meet budget, cash flow, and inventory parameters.
  • Optimize forward days of coverage by item, product category, and supplier.
  • Manage and minimize raw material liabilities and finished goods inventory for discontinued and other product transitions.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and transfer orders – monitor production, track inbound shipments, and complete system tasks related to receiving, assembly builds, and invoicing.
  • Optimize inventory by warehouse, aligning supply to demand achieving above 98% on-time order fill.
  • Prepare and achieve annual inventory plan, working within revenue, dollars, and days targets.
  • Prepare and present inventory forecasts and analysis reports to management and other internal partners weekly and monthly.
  • Maintain Supply Demand Match reporting and communicate inventory gaps to sales and customer service.
  • Reconcile monthly warehouse and raw material cycle counts and system updates.
  • Coordinate shipments from co-packers, raw material suppliers, between warehouses, and other logistics functions as needed, communicating details through Inbound Shipment report.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, leading teams in projects and work groups as needed.
  • NetSuite ERP system optimization – establish best practices, optimize settings, and create/maintain reporting.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Strong understanding of supply chain strategies
  • Proven success implementing business processes to execute against financial goals
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficient in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Travel to supply chain partners up to 25%

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supply planning role
  • Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP system
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices, procedures and tools
  • Experience managing projects and achieving deadlines

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
