Job Title: Key Account Manager – East

Reports To: Senior National Account Manager – East


The Key Account Manager’s main role is to drive sales, visibility, and awareness of Bundaberg in assigned regional chain retailers, whilst managing trade spend, execution, and communication of Bundaberg Brewed Drink’s promotions and activities with corresponding distributor partners and retailers. The Key Account Manager will execute the strategic planning, development, and sell-in of all Bundaberg SKU’s while driving all key Bundaberg programming initiatives and management of all in-store execution goals and standards.

Remote Position with up to 60% travel required.
Ideal Geographical Locations: Based on East Coast near a major metropolitan airport

Requirements and experiences:
  • Proven experience in a Sales role
  • Well-developed communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities of the Role


Responsibility 3.1 Customer Contact
Interact frequently and develop solid working relationships including expectations and standards with all levels and functions within the assigned chain account retailers and Distributor Key Account Managers.

Conduct well prepared and delivered presentations to retailers, distributor sales teams and other groups.

Educate all retailers / distributors on the Bundaberg brand and unique positioning within the premium soft drink category

Develops and shares best demonstrated practices with retailers and distributor personnel.

Responsibility 3.2 Pricing and Promotion
Develop yearly chain account promotion plans and schedule sell in meetings with appropriate chain account personnel. Updates monthly promotional planner.

Implement every day and promotional pricing strategy within each assigned account.

Develop call frequency matrix for each assigned account and achieve designated call frequency goals,

Responsibility 3.3 Sales Fundamentals
Increase availability of products in customer base

Grow share of space in customer schematics
Achieve off location displays on major promotions

Increase market share

Increase sales – growth and to budget


Responsibility 3.4 Business Control
Maximize trade investment within budget and rules of engagement

Manage costs associated with P.O.S, material, racks and merchandising items.

Conducts post activity ROI analysis

Responsibility 3.5 Record Management
Provides monthly and ad hoc reporting as per manager guidelines

Maintain accurate records regarding chain account profiles, distribution and competitive activity and pricing.

Work with Distributor key account manager to ensure all required paperwork is submitted accurately and timely

Responsibility 3.7 New Business and Future
Identifies new business opportunities
Develops new business proposals – commercials, forecasts
Wins new chain account business
Supports Team USA strategic plans and future AOP’s by providing insights and proposing future strategic priorities
Champions brand and business across all customer stakeholders to build salience

Responsibility 3.9 Availability
Work with distributor personnel to manage inventory levels and product ordering to ensure adequate stock coverage for upcoming chain account promotions.

Oversees customer in stock rates and develops action plans to address below target in stock rates across customer base

Oversees forecast for customer base

Responsibility 3.11 Safety
