Area Sales Manager – Spirits
$80K - $90K + Monthly MBO
Base Pay will be commensurate with the level of Spirit Wholesale Experience

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Area Sales Manager for our Spirits division. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets across Texas and Oklahoma. The Area Sales Manager will lead efforts to build strong relationships with suppliers, key accounts, and retail partners, ensuring our brand's growth and alignment with our premium positioning.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, with a focus on spirits or premium brands.
- Proven track record in sales management, achieving and exceeding targets within a competitive market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- You have demonstrated the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Willingness to regularly travel within the assigned area (TX & OK).
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and execute State-specific sales plans across Texas and Oklahoma aligned with the overall business objectives for each state, focusing on brand visibility, customer acquisition, and volume growth.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, action plans to ensure targets are met or exceeded for both On and Off Premise.
- Ensure brand standards for all suppliers are executed and maintained.
Account Management and Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key retailers and on-premise partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and a seamless partnership experience.
- Conduct regular account visits, manage negotiations, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and threats within the area.
- Provide regular performance reports and forecasts to the Division Sales Manager, ensuring data-driven insights support decision-making.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales teams in each state, setting clear objectives and promoting a high-performance culture.
- Work with employees monthly to develop skills and assess performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and coaching to ensure knowledge of brand positioning, product portfolio, and sales techniques.
Brand Advocacy and Promotion:
- Partner with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities, brand events, and trade shows that increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's premium positioning is consistently communicated and upheld.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of regional alcohol regulations and licensing is an asset.
- Overnight stays as required to develop employees and build relationships with key customers.
