DKAT Associates is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer for their historic, forward thinking, and award-winning brewery in Upstate New York. The Director of Marketing is responsible for working with their team to drive product news and innovation that increases excitement throughout their  distribution channels for their portfolio of beverages (beer, soft drinks, RTD cocktails, Cannabis-based beverages, etc.) and future new product innovation across all beverage segments. The Director of Marketing is also tasked with coordinating with/working across all project team stakeholders to ensure that initiatives are delivered on time and with excellence. The CMO’s role is to drive product news/innovation and manage end-to-end project execution to create energy in market and grow company sales and reports directly to the company’s President. 
 
Their business is exploding due to a relentless focus on game changing new product innovation across a wide range ofbeverages and best in class product quality. Experience in the beverage is not essential, but you do have to have a passion for ideas, execution and working with a fun, dynamic and collaborative team!

Responsibilities:
  • Develop creative and innovative approaches to market/sell company brands to distributors, retailers, and core consumers in addition to attracting new consumers
  • Develop consumer-forward media/programs to drive beverage sales and manage/develop company sponsorships to increase awareness, brand activation and sales
  • Team with internal beverage development team to create a pipeline of best-in-class new product innovation
  • Develop plans to raise our company brand awareness/loyalty in home markets by increasing our appeal in the local community
  • Optimize social media efforts by collaborating with our social media content developers and brand ambassadors to increase brand awareness with distributors, retailers and consumers, to drive positive brand buzz/recommendation
  • Track and analyze competitive activities (including product offerings, promotions, POS, distributor programs, socialmedia, etc.), reporting quarterly on their initiatives
  • Development/management of all key brand initiatives tracked through weekly status meetings and work across all project team members to ensure initiatives are delivered with excellence and on time
  • Effectively communicate with teams setting priorities, ensure that project milestones are met, and proactively identify obstacles to be addressed to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in beverage or related industry a plus
  • Experience growing/managing brands including social media marketing experience
  • Able to utilize technology and harness analytics to improve efficiency
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Work at a high pace while maintaining a high quality of service and product
  • Great verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Resident of New York State - preferably within 1-hour of the Brewery
