Job Description
The Supervisor - Inventory is responsible for maintaining, validating, and researching variances in finished goods and raw material inventories.
What your day will look like:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire, and train associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Builds positive associate morale
- Count and enter data into multiple software systems
- Create excel spreadsheets to upload and download inventory information from other software programs
- Prepare reports for inventory variances and yield percentages
- Initiate investigations of inventory discrepancies
- Maintain data for monthly and annual audits
- Track variance trends and trouble shoot trend sources
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing
- Frequent climbing 10-12 ft and reach overhead
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Frequent use of keyboard/typing
- Frequent exposure to noise
- Effective analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP, Lab Data Management System (LDMS), Defective Material Report (DMR) System
