Job Description

The Supervisor - Inventory is responsible for maintaining, validating, and researching variances in finished goods and raw material inventories.

What your day will look like:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Count and enter data into multiple software systems
  • Create excel spreadsheets to upload and download inventory information from other software programs
  • Prepare reports for inventory variances and yield percentages
  • Initiate investigations of inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain data for monthly and annual audits
  • Track variance trends and trouble shoot trend sources
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Frequent sitting, walking, and standing
  • Frequent climbing 10-12 ft and reach overhead
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Frequent use of keyboard/typing
  • Frequent exposure to noise
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, Lab Data Management System (LDMS), Defective Material Report (DMR) System
