Job Description

The Technician - Shop Service 2 will be responsible for learning the duties of Shop Tech, Service Tech, Cold Drink Equipment Installer and Fountain Installer. Assist in the daily activities of each of these positions. Relieve co-workers in these position in their absence. Additional activities as directed by Service Department Management.

What your day will look like:

• Installing, moving, and removing coolers and any fountain equipment
• Quickly and accurately diagnose faulty equipment and repair of service-related problems at customer's location
• Refrigeration repair, equipment warehouse management, washing of equipment, trouble shooting and repairing faulty equipment, installing graphics, minor painting, and other duties
• Learn to work with all computer devices related to this position and complete all required documents
• Work with technology related to this position
• General housekeeping of work area
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Ability to obtain a Class D license and DOT certifications
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain Refrigeration Certification Type 1
• Ability to learn the functions/uses of a forklift and obtain certification of forklift operations.
• Mechanical skills such as basic electrical and plumbing
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
• Frequent fine manipulation, vehicle operation, exposure to water and weather
• Repeated bending, grasping, kneeling/squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, typing/keyboard, and walking
• Ability to work with all functional team members
• Excellent customer service, and quality management skills
