Job Description

The Technician - ERC Shop Service 4 is responsible for repairing the refrigeration systems of the Cold Drink Equipment in the Equipment Refurbishment Center (ERC).

What your day will look like:

  • Installing and testing electrical components on machines
  • Testing, repairing, and certifying vending, merchandising, and fountain equipment
  • Repairing Refrigeration systems and testing modular refrigeration decks
  • Recycling refrigerant
  • Operate Handheld
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Two year certificate from college or technical school; or 24 to 36 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • EPA Clean Air Act 608 Type I license
  • Advanced knowledge of Cold Drink Equipment and/or appliance repair
  • Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration cycle
  • Knowledge of Electrical Theory and practical applications
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, repair manuals and use a Multi-Meter
  • Effective quality management and technical skills needed
  • Repeated sitting, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50
  • lbs.
  • Continuous bending, kneeling, squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise
