Position Summary:
We’re looking for a high-energy, outgoing Event Specialist to drive brand growth through exceptional event execution, team management, and relationship building. You will be responsible for creating memorable consumer experiences, overseeing market budgets, managing event teams, sourcing strategic opportunities, and supporting sales efforts in your market. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves connecting with people, and is eager to help grow a brand from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Execution: Plan, set up, and execute events, activations, and sampling opportunities, ensuring all activities align with Cantrip’s brand identity and goals.
  • Consumer Engagement: Act as a brand ambassador by educating event attendees about Cantrip’s products, sharing brand stories, and answering questions with enthusiasm.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage the event and marketing budget for your market to ensure cost-effective and impactful activations.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and lead event staff and brand ambassadors to deliver high-quality consumer experiences. Provide ongoing coaching and support to maximize team performance.
  • Event Sourcing: Identify and secure new event opportunities, from local festivals to high-visibility partnerships, to ensure Cantrip remains top of mind in the market.
  • In-Market Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with event organizers, venue owners, retail partners, and community influencers to unlock strategic opportunities for the brand.
  • On-Premise Support Events: Collaborate with on-premise accounts to execute support events, ensuring Cantrip has a strong presence in bars, restaurants, and other hospitality venues.
  • Content Creation: Capture high-quality, on-brand content (photos, videos, live social updates) during events to support Cantrip’s social media and marketing efforts.
  • Occasional Sales Support: Partner with sales teams to assist with merchandising, product placement, and building relationships with retail accounts to drive growth.
  • Reporting: Provide post-event recaps, including insights on attendance, consumer feedback, sales, and photos, to measure success and guide future activations.
Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in event planning, field marketing, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, oversee teams, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building authentic relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and flexible hours based on event schedules.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 lbs] for event setup and takedown.
  • Passion for the THC beverage space and a solid understanding of Cantrip’s mission.
  • Must have reliable personal vehicle.
