Director, Operational Excellence

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This influential Director role will lead PMO function and oversee execution of cross functional Operations projects. The primary focus will be on establishing a governance process to drive compliance to internal standards and set roadmap to exceed external standards. The role will provide leadership, managing activities of cross-functional, multi-site teams to achieve overarching organizational objectives.

Location: Remote

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify, design and accelerate key Operational projects.
  • Facilitate the prioritization of projects and the allocation of resources by working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and ensure coordinated planning and execution.
  • Lead key strategic initiatives across ByHeart's Network of plants, including but not limited to identifying and driving continuous improvement projects, managing multidisciplinary projects, and monitoring Operational performance.
  • Monitor compliance with Byheart processes and address outliers
  • Define and track key performance indicators to ensure project goals and milestones are consistently achieved.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and ensure that robust mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Work with site directors, Engineering and Senior leadership teams to identify and design best in class Operational footprint.
  • Provide strategic insight and guidance to Operations and ByHearts executive leadership team.
  • Lead complex projects and programs from idea to implementation by providing strategic direction and thought leadership to stakeholders, leveraging resources, and driving risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design and execute project implementation plans, manage critical metrics and deliverables, and lead technical reporting to assess key financial impacts and ROI.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, facilitating process improvements and ensuring successful delivery of key projects.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers on change management best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a change management framework and toolkit for the PMO.
  • Availability for up to 60% travel required.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or life sciences discipline required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in Quality or Operations within food, pharmaceutical or infant nutrition industry.
  • Experience with manufacturing, control and regulatory environment for infant formula destined for US market
  • Self-starter with well-developed interpersonal and influence skills
  • Proven track record in senior Quality or Operations roles at regional or global level
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams with varied management levels
  • Ability to create strong working relationship and partner with senior leadership to identify, analyze, and accelerate solutions and strategies
  • Ability to navigate and influence within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for rapid and effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to present recommendations and solutions to executive leadership team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in Operational performance.
