What makes this a great opportunity?

A great Brand Ambassador (BA) designs and conducts educational & experiential engagements for trade and consumers alike. The BA works with our Trade Engagement & Advocacy team and internal cross-functional partners to highlight the brands as the preeminent leaders in the category with a dynamic Next Generation portfolio. The Ambassador's ultimate priority is to curate experiences that inspire trade and consumers with our award-winning-luxury portfolio founded with a "Yatte Minahare" spirit & strengthened by years of family legacy.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Be the face of the House of Suntory portfolio
    • exhibit expertise and detailed knowledge of House of Suntory brands
    • be sought after by trade and media influencers for insight on Japanese culture and Suntory's company and brand history, production techniques and Japanese spirit category trends
  • Planning and execution of trade education & events i.e., brand specific trainings, cocktail demonstrations, and categorical education for full portfolio and LTOs
  • Curation of consumer events i.e., dinners, tastings, cocktail demonstrations etc.
  • Participation in Spirit Festivals / Cocktail Conferences i.e., Tales of The Cocktail, BCB, etc.
  • Execute launch events for LTOs and new releases in key markets
  • Planning and execution of internal training for Suntory Global Spirits colleagues to ensure up-to-date education on brand history, LTO knowledge, brand messaging
  • Encourage the use and execution of appropriate cocktail strategies for both trade and consumers
  • Work with the Senior HOS Brand Ambassador to ensure the most relevant training regarding distillery operations
  • Educate Distributor Partners through General Sales Meeting presentations
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Advocacy and on-premisemeetings as scheduled
  • Continue categorical learning through internal resources (MySU) and external resources
  • Appropriately manage budgets allocated for travel, events, and market support
  • Appropriately manage calendars

Qualifications
  • Role is NYC-based with travel for internal meetings & conferences
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when/if necessary
  • >5 years Hospitality Experience or >2 years of Advocacy Experience
  • Expert spirits knowledge
  • Working vocabulary of classic drinks, contemporary cocktails & trends
  • Existing Network of Trade Contacts within regional focus markets
  • Natural storyteller & engaging presenter
  • Collaborative team member

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and supporting apps

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $90,000 to $100,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. Salary range is commensurate with candidate's location, experience and skillset.
