Director of Sales - Wholesale Division NY/NJ

$130,000 - $160,000 includes commissions and bonuses + benefits
Reporting to our General Manager, the Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing our wholesale NY/NJ sales department, meeting sales targets and managing sales managers in the area.

 This position has a lot of responsibilities, and this job requires great leadership skills. You'll need to keep a level head, be able to multitask and have excellent people skills. You will develop efficient and creative sales and marketing strategies for the assigned territory and target setting for the sales team.
 
 He/She will inspire a team of 10+people to achieve sales goals. This includes everything from setting sales goals to training and supporting teams in order to help them achieve those goal. The right candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
 
 Most importantly, the successful candidate is honest, likable, confident, and hard-working, able to drive his/her team to exceed goals and secure significant business him/herself.
 
 Some of the required qualities:

Experience in sales with a successful track record

Strong wine and spirit knowledge 

Bachelor's degree

Good business sense

The ability to motivate and lead a team

Initiative and enthusiasm

Excellent communication and 'people skills'

Excellent presentation skills

Good planning and organizational skills 

Good IT, budget and report writing skills

Strong numerical and analytical abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Maintaining and increasing sales of the company's products

Reaching the targets and goals set for your area

Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base

Servicing the needs of your existing customers

Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market

Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole

Recruiting and training sales staff 

Allocating areas to sales representatives

Developing sales strategies and setting targets

Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets

Compiling and analyzing sales figures

Dealing with some major customer accounts yourself

Collecting customer feedback and market research

Keeping up to date with products and competitors
