Quality Assurance Technician - Chemistry

The QA Chemistry Technician is to conduct daily product analysis (sample collection, preparation,processing, data entry) and first level data analysis to support sensory,microbiological and analytical chemistry product analysis. This position is a full-time, hourly position which includesregular weekend work.Normal work weekwill run from Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Collect and prepare samples and conduct appropriate analysis per SOPs and training.
  • Document results of analysis in appropriate form, log and/or database (e.g., computer data entry)
  • Take appropriate action following out of control action plans to validate results especially when the analysis indicates that the product/process is out of control
  • Provide feedback to process/method owner for improvement of process/method
  • Order supplies, ship samples, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment and lab ware
  • May generate and/or revise documentation to support processes or methods, as assigned
  • Operate and maintain all appropriate equipment and workspace for assigned responsibilities
  • Support experiments/projects, as assigned, and support Quality Department activities and objectives
  • Provide back-up support for other Quality Department team members as assigned including holiday and weekend coverage.

Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to):
  • Requires aBachelor's degree in scientific discipline from a four year college oruniversity or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of product analysisincluding chromatography experience, standard brewing methods of analysis andwork experience in a brewery lab desirable
  • Appropriate working knowledge oflaboratory operations
  • Demonstrated hands-on labexperience and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicateand interact with all levels of personnel within the organization
  • Ability to adapt to changingpriorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Ability to exercise initiative andjudgment as well as make decisions within the scope of assigned authority
  • Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Wage Range: $21.00 - $23.50
