Job Purpose Summary:  
 
The Sales Ambassador will focus on building volume in existing accounts and raising brand awareness in their assigned territory. This will be accomplished through consistent store demos, store visits, and building relationships with store team members. 
 
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
 
  • Coordinate and conduct demos and retailer sampling events to support area accounts and drive sales volume. 
  • Keep a consistent log of demo results to ensure effectiveness (monthly). 
  • Merchandise accounts:
▪       Ensure that product is properly stocked, faced, and re-orders are placed when inventory is low.  
▪       Develop strong working relationships with retail decision makers.  
▪       Utilize relationships to promote/sell/secure orders for display opportunities and upcoming demos.
▪       Ensure that sale tags are up during all promo periods and report any pricing discrepancies that are encountered to the Western Sales Manager. 
▪       Support retailer team with free samples, coupons, display building, and category resets as needed. 
▪       Use point of sale materials in store to raise brand awareness - clip strips, shippers, dump bins, and coupons. 
  • Work with local merchandising reps to drive sales, sell through display products, and achieve monthly goals. 
▪       Leverage reps to identify events that Kate’s Real Food should be attending/sponsoring with our retail partners and the communities they are in. 
  • Be the eyes and ears from the field; Share customer feedback, sales opportunities, and competitive brands insights.
  • Assist Kate’s marketing team with events in assigned territory.
  • Submit bi-weekly sales reports and expense reports to Western Sales Manager. 
  • Meet and exceed monthly KPI’s set by the Western Sales Manager (listed below).
 
Expectations and Qualifications:
 
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business or Marketing concentration is preferred.
  • 2-4 years CPG sales experience preferred.
  • Experience conducting store level demos and events.
  • Experience building & maintaining relationships.
  • A results driven, energetic, confident personality
  • Have strong local contacts and relationships in assigned territory. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of the New York metro and 5 borough markets.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and CRM software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
 
  • Travel: 80% local travel, 20% overnight travel
 
  • KPI’s:
  • Complete a total of 50 retail store visits monthly.
  • Complete a minimum of 20 demos/events monthly.
  • Secure 20 secondary displays in key accounts monthly. 
  • Enter all store visits into Repsly and track mileage via 3rd party app. 
 
  • Compensation:
o   Health benefits after 90 days
