Colorado/New Mexico State Manager position is a sales management role responsible for sales execution, delivering volume and accounts sold goals in assigned markets.  The position requires the ability to sell independently and with the distributor sales reps in the market.  The State Manager is responsible for the following:
 
Essential Responsibilities:
·           Oversee the growth of the Breckenridge Distillery portfolio by effectively utilizing brand and company resources to build volume and distribution.
·           Activate and implement plans throughout assigned channels.
·           Train, develop and manage California Market Managers
·           Drive programs that deliver results throughout distribution network including On Premise, Off Premise and Chains
·           Work closely with Breckenridge Director of National Accounts on any chain business.
·           Train and develop distributor teams to maximize Breckenridge Sales
·           Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities through research and analysis -measure performance.
·           Implement sales and pricing and programming strategies to capture new business.
·           Maintain current relationships within distribution network – manage key customer relationships.
·           Work with Marketing team to establish successful campaigns and materials. 
·           Manage field market reviews and retail visits to ensure stock and inventory is adequate.
·           Work in the field making sales calls 70% of the time.

 
Qualifications:
 
·         Prior beverage alcohol sales experience is a must have for this position.
·         Strong local market knowledge.
·         Must be proficient with distributor pricing and programming.
·         Has a passion for sales, superior customer service skills, and the ability to build relationships with customers.
·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a sales force in the beverage industry
·         The ability to motivate and lead others.

·         Ability to always conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
·         Strong sales acumen and drive to generate sales from multiple sources.
·         Creative thinking and knowledge of how to gain loyalty from multiple sources.
·         Clean driving record. Must be able to provide own transportation while working. 
·         Must live in Denver metro area.
·         Demonstrated brand building examples and key contributions to an organization.
·         Strong communications processes and organizational skills
·         Objective based mindset – results driven.
·         Must have specific examples of making pricing decisions and growing a sales region.
·         Detail orientation.
·         Act with a sense of urgency.
·         Self-motivated and driven.
·         Strong analytical skills.
·         Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & ability to navigate through sales analytics a plus.
·         Willing to travel. 
·         Reports to EVP of Sales.
