We are looking for an experienced sales leader based in NY to grow our sales effort across the state of NY.  Leading or core brand, Hudson North Cider Co, to become the  #1 Local Cider in the state over the next 5 years. The Director will be responsible for all high level aspects of our sales effort from sales team management, growing chain & key accounts within the state, working with distributors to execute sales goals, and developing & executing sales strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Grow Chains and Key Accounts with a focus on NYC and the Hudson Valley.  
  • Manage, Mentor and Grow our Sales Team throughout N.
  • Develop and Execute on distribution goals and new/seasonal product launches with NY Distributors.
  • Developing, Executing and Evaluating high level sales planning & strategy.

Developing and Growing NY Chain/Key Account Footprint
  • Growing relationships with Key Chains with a focus on Wegmans, Wholefoods, Trader Joe’s, Shoprite, Hannafords, Fresh Direct.
  • Develop new relationships with Key Chains with a focus on Target, Stop & Shop, Costco, 7 Eleven, CVS, Acme, &  Walmart.
  • Work to gain and maintain key accounts, restaurant chains, venues, & stadiums within the NYC & Hudson Valley.

Sales Team Management and Development 
  • Managing, building, and growing a high performing sales team to execute end to end sales including distributor management, account management, and pricing and program implementation. 
  • Communicate overall brand strategy, standards and prioritization to Sales Team
  • Executing a timely employee performance management process, covering recognition, reward for top achievers, and implementing performance actions when needed. 
  • Cultivate an environment where each team member is inspired to align their actions with the company core values: Fresh Ideas, Streamline processes, Building Relationships, and Empowering yourself and team. Embody and emulate these principles through day to day management of the sales team, fostering a cohesive and high-performing sales force.


Distributor Relationships 
  • Work with distributors, brand managers, & chain managers to develop yearly, quarterly and monthly sales goals & execute on set goals.
  • Conduct team meetings and attend important relationship building functions with distro houses
  • Communicate new product launches and setup, execute and monitor success of incentives around sales goals and strategy. 

Sales Planning & Strategy 
  • Work closely with leadership & distributors to design a regionally focused sales strategy and develop NY sales performance targets.
  • Create an annual Business Plan detailing sales and volume targets; pricing strategy; marketing, tastings, promotions, and sales programs; and execution.
  • Monitor YTD progress vs. plan and monitor team’s performance against plan; conduct weekly progress checks of distributor performance.
