Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing a local operating plan which includes distribution objectives, volume goals, and promotional execution.
- Responsible for building and owning relationships through different sales levels at Breakthru
- Manage depletion and distribution objectives within the territory with an on-premise segment focus
- Create and implement creative sales execution programs that fit within a national marketing calendar
- Maintain individual engagement on social web platforms and contribute to the company’s national social and digital campaigns.
- Initiate, develop and maintain key account relationships within the assigned geography
- Complete and manage monthly & weekly calendars and maintain a working key account list
- Manage assigned budgets including local trade promotions, travel & entertainment and other departmental expenses.
- Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law
- Occasional travel throughout Illinois with a primary focus on Lake/Cook County
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Minimum 2 years field sales experience in the wine & spirits industry (agency, distributor, or supplier)
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago market & on-premise channel
- Existing relationships & experience calling on bars & restaurants
- Strong business acumen, relationship management skills, customer focus, and drive for results
- Must reside in Lake/Cook County
