JOB DESCRIPTION: The State Manager has excellent presentation, communication, and management skills. You will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by building relationships with accounts & our wholesaler partner and helping the distributor’s sales reps and merchandisers attain their objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve our sales, merchandising, and profit goals by helping the distributor attain their sales volume and profit objective on our products
- Assist the distributor sales representatives and accounts in attaining their sales and distribution objectives on our brands by working with them and providing training support on our product line
- Maintain a key account list and develop personal relationships with key buyers/owners and managers
- Assist assigned accounts in attaining their sales and profit objectives by wait staff trainings, activations, and promotions
- Conduct well-prepared and delivered sales meetings to the distributor sales force.
- Monitor inventory and proper use of POS material
- Follow through on all commitments made to distributor management, sales personnel, and the trade
- Review monthly account performance
- Identify market trends and opportunities, and develop respective action plan
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans with the distributor partner and internal stakeholders
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Minimum 2 years of field sales experience in the beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago market & high-volume on-premise channel
- Existing relationships & experience calling on all channels of trade
- Strong business acumen, relationship management skills, customer focus, and drive for results
- Existing relationships within SGWS a plus, but not a requirement
