About The Position
The main responsibilities for this role will be to manage the distributor relationship for the state of Texas while also building brand engagement with trade and consumers in both on and off premise channels.
This will be accomplished by maintaining constant contact with distributor management while activating key accounts within the local on/off premise universe, driving consumer engagement, trade and distributor education, and being responsible for sales results across TX.  A cross between traditional state manager and a brand ambassador, a WhistlePig Steward is expected to roll up their sleeves, think strategically and creatively to achieve specific sales and brand goals week to week, month to month, and year to year.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Reports to Chief of Sales – Central
  • Manage relationship with distributor across the state, conduct regular QBR & planning sessions to ensure compliance with brand strategy as directed by CSO/Chief
  • Manage several direct reports with specific market responsibility, responsible for development plan; coaching; and regular engagement (in conjunction with Chief)
  • Call on key on and off premise accounts across North Texas market based on specific target lists established by CSO & Chiefs executing against company quarterly KPIs.   
  • Train on/off premise accounts on brands story and attributes
  • Have open and regular communication with local sales and distributor teams in order to achieve results in the market
  • Share industry and competitive activity to keep brand at the forefront of developments
  • Monitor and provide detailed recaps on all on/off premise programs 
  • Be fiscally responsible and accountable for given budgets on a monthly basis
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit; exhibiting passion, ambition, hard work and leadership to drive commercial success 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and inspire others, and experience managing small sales teams
  • Must be results oriented and able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Self-disciplined and flexible self-starter, with confidence and drive to work independently and meet all project deadlines, including frequently working outside normal business hours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required including the experience and ability to present in front of both large and small groups
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, College graduate preferred. 
  • Must reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Knowledge of spirits, craft production, and/or the food and beverage industry are required
Location & Travel:
  • Must live in Dallas
  • 50-60% travel to markets outside of Dallas
