JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a high-performing Region Manager based in Kansas City or St. Louis (Omaha residency will be considered for exceptional candidates) who brings strong leadership qualities, and a desire to build and grow our business.

The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of each state’s business to achieve all sales and distribution objectives. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person with sales and management experience.  Previous experience calling on retail accounts in the Mid-West region is required and experience working with Standard Beverage, Breakthru Beverage and Johnson Brothers is ideal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Achieve state depletion and distribution objectives while staying within brand budgets and revenue targets.
·         Responsible for all programming, pricing, budgets, goals, and objectives for all channels of the business.
·         Establish relationships with key distributor managers in all divisions including senior level managers.
·         Plan time and activities to ensure achievement of volume, new distribution, promotions, and merchandising objectives for all retail accounts through direct customer involvement.
·         Meet regularly with key accounts and the distributor key account managers. Ensure paperwork related to set up for all new items is filled out and submitted properly and on time.
·         Execute systems management tools to evaluate and identify execution success or opportunities related to displays, distribution initiatives, menu features, merchandising programs, pricing features and sales initiatives at all levels of the distribution process.
·         Identify market trends and interpret how those trends will affect marketplace.
·         Develop and conduct successful and impactful presentations for sales meetings, key account meetings, QBR’s, annual strategy meetings, and portfolio planning.
·         Manage distributor purchasing to ensure adequate levels of inventory are maintained at all times.
·         Set up, establish, and execute new item launch plans.
·         Keep each state AR statement within acceptable limits (no more than 30 days of receipt).  Review and submit for payment monthly.
·         The ability to travel overnight and work evening events.
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         Professional, educated person with 5 to 10 plus years strong sales and management experience.
·         Supplier experience calling on all levels of the distributor.
·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
·         Strong presentation skills in large group settings.
·         Advanced pricing and programming skills.  
·         Strong budget management ability. 
·         Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
·         Ability to use her/his time effectively and efficiently; able to concentrate her/his efforts on priorities. 
·         Sales, negotiating and closing skills.
·         Ability to drive sales initiatives with distributor representatives.
·         Strong relationships with senior distributor managers and executives.
·         Quality of work output consistently meets or exceeds position standards.
·         Proficient computer skills:  Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
·         Bachelor’s Degree is required.
