About The Position
The Tasting Room & Shipping Coordinator is primarily responsible for creating a memorable experience for guests at BR Cohn Winery by assisting them with thorough knowledge about the wine and winery.  This position is also responsible for shipping orders from the winery.


  • Greet all visitors and pour wines for tasting
  • Create a memorable experience for guests
  • Sell club memberships based on monthly goal
  • Describe wine and winery history; answer visitors’ questions
  • Provide general tourist information
  • Assist with Customer Service; by Podium, email, phone, etc.
  • Handle routine sales transactions including operating the register and accounting of daily sales
  • Maintain Brand standards in printed materials
  • Keep inventory levels of shipping materials to par
  • Maintain the shipping procedures in place, ensuring packages are packed correctly
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Assist with Corporate & Holiday Gift Sales
  • Represent winery and olive oil company at outside functions as needed
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of winery and olive oil company
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

  • Proficient on the computer (familiar with POS systems, Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Wine related experience helpful
  • Knowledge of olive oil and wine production
  • Evidence of superior sales performance preferred
  • TIPS and CA Food Handler Certifications preferred, but not required

  • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
