About The Position

Vellamo is looking for a Rockstar with a proven background of success in the on-premise food and beverage industry. A leader and good negotiator, identifying and securing sales opportunities, and building partnerships with distributors. Reporting directly to the President & CEO of North America, you will be a key player of the business development and leader of the regional sales team.

Scope of Work:

Develop selling opportunities and maintain positive consumer relationships
Build and foster partnerships with distributors and accounts
Manage the negotiation strategies to secure targeted opportunities
Assist and support distributors by providing sales support, personnel training, and maintaining strong communication
Regularly visit, check-in and call on accounts
Consult with clients to resolve complaints
Prepare and oversee the preparation of sales contracts
Report sales growth, new accounts, profitability, competitor activity, and consumer behavior
Provide direction and motivate a team of sales reps to achieve sales goals
Communicate and coordinate sales efforts with other departments to ensure quality service
Participate in trade shows and special events

Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in professional sales in culinary, hospitality or food & beverage service industries
University degree or post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, or supply chain management is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced knowledge in Excel considered an asset
Previous experience with ORACLE NetSuite is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
Excellent command of the English language
Completion of secondary school is required
Must possess their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license
