The Site Master Data Specialist will play an active role in the support of Ulta Beauty's master data management initiatives by participating in key enterprise projects, including SAP/S4, business process management and workflow solutions for real estate to migrate standard operating procedures into a workflow management tool and ESRI Ulta Mapper and Site master data management. This role will progress to support the design, test and build cycles of Global Template Build of S4 through to representing the site master domain for release and deployment activity, business user testing, master data governance and migration, dry run business simulation, business continuity planning, and Go Live and Stabilization Support for S4 updates and future phase rollouts . This role will also support the real estate initiatives through site master management as well as market analytics.

  • Coordinates with Global Process Owners (GPOs), SOAR Core teams, and key data domain stakeholders
  • Drive decisions during workshops on S4 and other SAAS solution builds affecting site master data
  • Champions Business Process Transformation, harmonization and standardization, working to ensure Master Data requirements are met, including interim scope and any workarounds required to support operations during the deployment window
  • Responsible for configuring and managing data sets for uploads to ESRI SQL server.
  • Collaborate and assist in demonstrations of ESRI Portal applications across the enterprise and collect feedback used to create more efficient uses of application.
  • Gathers data and location intelligence on proposed retail sites to collect primary market data; this includes but is not limited to evaluation of trade area boundaries and barriers, level and type of retail, site accessibility, traffic and road patterns, and competition.
  • Prepares and organizes data necessary for familiarity with specific site and market including populations, demographics, maps, aerial photos, customer spottings, site plans, and Ulta store sales.
  • As needed, forecasts sales for proposed Ulta retail locations utilizing various forecasting methods.
  • Assist in the development of real estate project processes and documentation, including project roadmaps, to migrate into a business process / workflow management SAAS solution
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Ulta's real estate organization, business needs and challenges
  • Create, present and maintain ad hoc projects applications for departments across the company.
  • Maintains and awareness of developments in the site analysis, retail, and marketing research fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practices.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field

  • Strong understanding of Retail Master Data within SAP
  • Ability to work independently, utilize critical thinking and judgement
  • Proficient with basic technology and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent data analytics skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and implementing prototypes
  • Ability to present information to senior leadership at Ulta
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects with moving parts
