About The Position
The successful candidate will:- Reside in the DC, MD, NoVA territory,- Have extensive beverage alcohol merchandising experience at retail,- Has built a brand at retail, including POS, demos, and extensive buyer relations.
About The Position
This is a bottom floor opportunity to help start a new beverage alcohol brand. The Territory Sales Manager is a frontline sales resource responsible for building, securing, and maintaining distribution and sales for a new beverage alcohol brand. In addition to the above, the TSM will work well independently as well as with management to ensure continuous service to existing accounts and expansion of our brands in existing and targeted new accounts. We need a motivated, self-starter who can continue to grow our portfolio.

Reports directly to: CEO.

About Us
Twelv 31 Spirits is a fast growing spirits company, with a unique portfolio of products (Twelv 31 Velvet Berry and Twelv 31 Silk). We are looking for people who are up for the challenge of growing new brands from the ground up in an entrepreneurial environment. Currently selling direct to accounts.   

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the DC, MD, & NOVA markets to secure and maintain distribution in targeted retail accounts with a high focus on the relationship between on & off premise accounts .
  • Prepare, make and follow-up on sales calls with target accounts. Complete sales call reports for all calls.
  • Off Premise Execution Standards
  • Key Accounts – Ensure that all programming and distribution is executed properly at all chains and major liquor accounts.
  • Merchandising - Execute programs in the off premise liquor channel (POS, Display, Samplings) to drive greater rate of sale
  • Relationship Building – Build relationships with key store managers and buyers to maintain distribution for key SKUs.
  • On Premise Execution Standards
  • Merchandising - Create programming to enhance the consumer experience in target accounts (bars, restaurants, and seasonal accounts) to help drive awareness and rate of sale.
  • Key Account Management – manage all aspects of top accounts, in DC, Maryland, and NOVA including programming, staff trainings, etc.
  • Responsibly and effectively manage trade spending for maximum results and within budget
  • Achieve sales targets and manage and track sales to plan.
  • Provide daily timely and accurate reports to CEO. 
Requirements:
  • Passion, Motivation, Creativity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Track Record of Success
  • BA/BS - Business, Marketing or equivalent experience in the spirits/alcohol beverage industry
  • Minimum 3-7 years in the beverage industry, preferably spirits/liquor
  • Knowledge of the local market and previous market management experience; previous wholesaler management a plus
  • Experience in merchandising and building/growing brands
  • Must reside in greater Washington area
  • Solid Selling Skills (Strong Negotiating and Closing skills)
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Good technical skills, MS office, understanding of and utilization of sales data, information-based selling concepts 
  • Focus is 70% retail; 30% on premise; 50% new distribution, 50% account maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits
Twelv 31 Spirits offers a compensation package which includes salary + performance based bonus + expenses. Flexible working schedule, with evenings and weekends expected.
