Tropical Distillers

About Us
In 1902, the Hadens sailed to West Palm Beach and brought back four dozen Mulgoba fruits to plant on their property in Miami. In reports written to the Florida State Horticultural Society, some trees produced thin, poor looking fruits. Some were elongated, while others were compact and round. However, on one single tree... everything came together in 1910. The fruit ripened into a blushed orange color, unlike most mangoes up until that point, which simply ripened from green to yellow. In a few short years, tens of thousands of young Haden mango trees popped up in Miami and throughout the state.

The Haden journey and name inspired the creation of America’s Craft Liqueur Company, J.F. Haden’s.

J.F. Haden’s Craft Liqueurs launched in January 2020 with J.F. Haden’s Mango, the first spirit to market from the Tropical Distillers brand portfolio, a first-of-its-kind, small batch mango liqueur made from home-grown Florida mangoes, followed by their second spirit, J.F. Haden’s Citrus Liqueur in winter 2021, and third spirit, J.F. Haden's Espresso Liqueur in summer 2022.

Each small batch is crafted and bottled in the new state of the art distillery in Miami, FL made without preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.
