**About the position**
Our number one priority is the safety of our little Tiny customers! We are looking for a Food Safety Coordinator to lead all things food safety, quality, and compliance at Tiny Organics. This position will work with our production and management teams to ensure standards are being met to the highest degree, identify and mitigate risks, and set up our production team for success. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest internal safety standards, and you will be able to contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing early-stage company.
**What you'll do**
-Identify and mitigate food safety risks
-Work cross functionally to ensure success & pass inspections
-Ensure the local and federal compliance requirements are being met
-Assist in training teams on proper hygiene and safety practices
-Promote a safe work environment through knowledge of the safety and sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all
-Work with operations team on maintaining food safety practices related to ingredient procurement
-Maintain a database of all permits, licenses, certifications, and training documentation.
-Manage the organization and record keeping for all production batches and shift activities.
-Frequent analysis of the documentation library in order to better organize and streamline record-keeping.
**Who you are**
-0 to 3 years experience in food safety/quality control
-Previous experience demonstrating excellent document organization or record-keeping skills
-Calm in stressful situations
-A willingness to proactively challenge the norm, continually pushing us to set and achieve higher standards
-Baseline knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred
-HACCP knowledge preferred
-NY food handlers certificate preferred
-Have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience
-Legally authorized to work in the USA
-Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 salary, full health benefits, 401K match
