About The Position
We are seeking a specialist for the foodservice channel who is as passionate about our mission as we are! The candidate will be responsible for growing distribution and penetration for our biodegradable agave line, and our innovation items
The Sustainable Agave Company is seeking a sales specialist for the Foodservice channel who is as passionate about our mission as we are!  The candidate will be responsible for growing distribution and penetration for our biodegradable agave line, and our innovation arm of sustainable solutions for the foodservice and retail industries.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success growing brands in the CPG industry, with an exceptional track record of new business development.  If you are a focused sales professional with a passion to build an emerging, better-for-the-Earth brand, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage and drive broker and distributor relationships
  • Attend industry trade shows (Distributor shows and sales meetings) as well as new distributor and channel shows
  • Utilize your CPG industry network to develop new relationships for the Sustainable Agave Company, as well as advance relationships with our existing customers
  • Work cross functionally with our Operations and Marketing departments in order to build a blueprint for growth
  • Deliver business presentations, create reasonable action plans, follow up and meet customer deadlines
  • Executing trade promotions within approved spending guidelines
  • Support company culture by embracing The Sustainable Agave Company’s values and mission

What you bring to the table:

  • Effective presentation skills and ability to passionately articulate the Sustainable Agave story, mission and key differentiators vs. competition
  • Entrepreneurial work spirit with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years in CPG industry with demonstrated success in College/University and QSR channels
  • Experience calling on brokers and managing distributors
  • Past experience representing brands in the natural products industry a plus
  • Experience working with Sysco a plus
  • Highly effective communicator that has experience forecasting, negotiating and with field execution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Suite
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and pace required of a company in high growth mode
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet individual and company goals
  • Ability to execute strategies and respond to individual market conditions
