Job Location: Des Moines, Iowa
This position is based remotely in the Des Moines, IA Sales Office with flexibility for job applicants residing in a market within reasonable driving distance.


The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for profitably growing Hershey's business at HyVee (Everyday, Retail Operations, JBP) to achieve objectives and plans, including net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin across key segments of Hershey's business. Responsibilities include business planning & analysis, creating valued business partnerships with customer key contacts and Hershey internal business partners, and achieving mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer's business. The CSE will also be responsible for advancing the Joint Business plan with customerthat will facilitate near term and longer-term partnership planning.


•Achieve gross sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for customers.
•Balance both tactical and strategic priorities. Create and implement annual merchandising and promotional plans along with respective selling and execution plans grounded in insights and data.
•Manage financial responsibilities. This includes judiciously managing and allocating trade funds (maintaining compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley policies) and effectively utilizing and managing PlanEx and High Radius. Monitor and control customer expenses to include Waste and supply chain costs. Understand how business decisions impact the P&L.
•Develop collaborative partnerships with customers (buyer and at minimum one level above) as well as internal business partners within Category Management, Sales Finance, Sales Planning, and Retail to achieve results.
•Utilize Joint Business Planning and Strategic Growth Pillars to develop near and long-term growth plans.
•Exemplify the Hershey Behaviors, competencies and values. Leverage sales skills such as effective communication and planning and organization to balance priorities and effectively plan and estimate sales and trade.
•Utilize digital knowledge and resources to advance Hershey's position within customers developing platforms.


Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: At least 5-6 years relevant sales experience to include headquarter account responsibility with a preference for cross functional experiences in category management or sales strategy and planning.
