The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing sales and relationships with a specified account universe on behalf of the Cokoh and Chizle portfolio of products and brands in the Oklahoma City, OK market area. This role is essential to capitalizing on the growing brand presence, driving pull through with accounts, and forecasting industry and market trends. You’ll be a brand champion with a passion for sales and relationship building in support of a top emerging cannabis company. The core day-to-day areas this role will focus on include:
  • Wholesale with Flowers and processed products: Identify dispensaries that would be a good fit for our brands, and help them solve their business challenges with our products.
  • Continuously cultivate business relationships with existing and potential customers in retail (dispensary buyers and budtenders) and processing around the Oklahoma City territory
  • Educate these key contacts on the portfolio and propose tailored sales solutions for inventory procurement
  • Develop and implement merchandising and visibility strategies in support of accounts to drive sales
  • Schedule and execute consumer educational events to drive consideration and trial of products
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin targets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts for all wholesale sales; ensure that forecasts are shared with and agreed upon by key stakeholders within the company, in a timely manner
  • Maintain the high level of customer satisfaction expected of a premium brand
  • Monitor customer feedback and suggestions for products; promptly address any customer complaints
  • Identify market trends and competitor product offerings and pricing and share the same with relevant members of the team; Maintain up-to-date knowledge on market segments
  • Identify and create alliances with key influencers and industry experts
  • Proactively adjust sales tactics based on market demands on an as-needed basis
  • Comply at all times with the laws and regulations governing the sale of medicinal cannabis in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Wholesale sales: trim - Identify licensed processors with a need for high quality trim around certain times of year, and help them solve their business problems with our products
 WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years’ related industry or sales experience
  • Local travel 15% including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of cannabis, trends and industry preferred, train will be provided
  • Proven selling tactics for product position and competitor differentiation
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with distributor personnel including orders, delivery and merchandising support
  • Familiarity with local market trendsetting accounts
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
