We are looking for a Director of Finance, CPG to join our growing team!

Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Own, maintain reporting fundamentals - e.g. master data, KPI definitions, methodologies, etc
  • Create and maintain useful, relevant dashboards for different management levels
  • Own monthly reporting package, explain variances to budget, forecast
  • Develop and maintain specialized reports - e.g. Product P&Ls, Customer P&Ls, Marketing ROI (slotting, promotions)
  • Track and manage trade spend budgets
  • Report on manufacturing expense - COGS and labor - and make recommendations to drive efficiency and productivity
Financial/Capital Planning 
  • Partner with leadership to deliver monthly CPG forecast by customer door, velocity, trade spend and SKU based on recent trends, planned expansion and liaise with sales team
  • Prepare quarterly forecast and annual budget
  • Maintain 5 Yr business model
  • Prepare ROI on capital investments and analyze potential new business deals
  • Innovation P&L modeling to drive pricing, product decision-making 
  • Ongoing support for what / if scenarios, e.g. Pricing decisions, cost pressures
Other Ad Hoc Analysis
  • Prepare and update product pitch decks
  • Benchmark competition; monitor, analyze and report key CPG industry / market trends
  • New systems implementation
  • Ad-hoc analysis and planning as needed

Your personal toolkit should include:

  • Experience in CPG and Manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing sales in CPG, encompassing trade management, deductions, etc. 
  • Experience developing annual budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts
  • Top tier skills in excel, powerpoint
  • Impeccable organization and attention to detail
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable working with large / complex datasets
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Bonus points for:
  • Experience going through IPO or acquisition
  • MBA and/or consulting experience
  • Experience working in the restaurant or hospitality industry
